Hi! I m back from Bangkok! Came back yesterday in the afternoon. 4 days of holidays r over. How i wished could stay in Bangkok 4 a few more days, happy & fun time always passed so fast. Really had a very relaxed & enjoyable time there. Everyday was juz eating & shopping, no need to tink of work hehe...
It was dear's 1st time in a plane but i was the 1 who was nervous. When the plane was taking off from the ground, i grab dear's hand so tight lol...
Including dear & myself, there r a total of 19 pple in our group. We arrived in Bangkok in the evening on Sat. My boss had to settle the visa 4 my china colleagues & tat took quite some time. We took the mini bus to the hotel tat we r staying. Settling the rooms oso took some time & i was really real hungry. It was abt 10 plus s'pore time. I m not the only 1, everybody was eager 4 dinner too i guess lol...
Dear & i had a room to ourselves. After putting our bags in the rooms, everybody gathered to go 4 dinner 2gether in a nearby thai restaurant. Dinner was rice with dishes. The food was not bad. We didn't walk ard after dinner. Everyone juz wan to get back to the hotel to shower & rest (save our energy 4 the next day haha!)
Buffet breakfast was provided every morning. After breakfast on Sunday, we set off to the famous Chatuchak Weekend Mkt by skytrain. It was probably the world's largest weekend flea market. A must 4 bargain-hunters looking 4 almost anything under the sun. Dear & i bought lots of stuff from there. Some souvenirs, handphone pouch & mostly clothes. The Chatuchak mkt was something like our Bugis Mkt but it was much much bigger with more stalls. It was super hot inside there but itz worth it coz we bought lots of cheap & nice stuffs.
We shopped till afternoon b4 proceeding back to the hotel to rest 4 a while. We ate something, showered & were out again. We went to a few nite mkts & bought more things. Souvenirs , clothes, bags, sunglasses & lingerie. My frens oso bought lots of stuff & when we bought 2gether in bulk, the seller would always give us a gd price. It was fun shopping in Bangkok coz u can bargain & they would always give in to u haha...
The next day, we went to MBK Centre by skytrain. We bought a large Mickey Mouse bag (can put the things we bought hehe...) & earrings 4 myself. After lunch, we took the Mrt to Suan Lum Nite Bazaar. The stalls would only open at 3 plus to 4 so we all sat down to chat & wait. It started raining but didn't affect our happy spirits. We shopped & bought things again. Souvenirs, clothes, slippers & bikini. We shopped till evening b4 going to eat dinner. After tat was buying things from a shop in our hotel as it was selling very nice stuffs. The bags there were so pretty! Bought a number of things from tat shop.
When we got back to our room, we had to pack all our stuffs as we were leaving the next day. Had a fun time packing coz we didn't realise we bought so much things lol... Things 4 ourselves, family, relatives & frens...
After breakfast on Tue morning, we gathered to set off 2gether to the airport. Really cannot bear to leave. Everybody went to Bangkok with few things but came back to S'pore with loads of things haha.. We really shopped till we dropped, bought things like crazy during those 2 days of shopping. Everybody had their own shopping buddies when going out to shop. Dear & i were with 4 of my frens & itz really fun to shop in a group.
If i have the chance, i would wan to go back to Bangkok again to shop hehe... Had to drag myself to work 2day coz was super tired this morning & was having a headache. My other colleagues oso complaint of tiredness & headache as well but surprisingly, all turned up 4 work lol... Luckily my boss gave us permission to take a nap in the afternoon.
