During the CNY period, I made a drastic decision. I have resigned from my job as a childcare teacher. I m now officially a full time mummy. It was after much consideration b4 I made up my mind to give up the job tat I love. Moreover, I had been in the childcare line for 6 yrs. It was really not easy to quit juz like tat.
My maternity leave ended on 6 Feb & I was supposed to go back to work on 11 Feb. However, I called my boss 2 days b4 I was supposed to start work. I told her tat I wished to resign to look after my baby. She tried to persuade me to stay but I told her my reasons for leaving. In the end, she said if my baby grew up & I decided to go back to the workforce, I could still work for her again.
As I did not give a mth notice, I need to do some compensation. However rite now, my baby is more impt than $. Nothing else matters! I have been looking after Zenden since birth & the strong bonding made me really cannot bear to leave him & go to work. I oso do not wan to stress out my mother-in-law who initially wan to help look after Zenden while I work. Taking care of a baby is not easy!
CNY this yr is very special as there is an additional little one in my family - baby Zenden. He has collected many ang baos & he is always the focus of atttention whenever he goes hse visiting. We do not have to take care of him much as he is always being passed ard. He will only come back to us if he cries for milk haha... Everyone love him so much! This is oso a gd opportunity for me to get tips on how to take care of a baby from my aunts & cousins who have lots of experience.
Lots of events throughout the 4 days of CNY. On the CNY eve, darling has to go back to his office in the morning to complete some work so baby Zenden & I followed him there. After tat, we went to my uncle's place for reunion lunch as well as offer prayers to my late grandma & grandpa. A big feast of hm cooked food! Reunion dinner was at my mother-in-law's place. Had fun wif the steamboat cum teppanyaki! Upon reaching hm, darling went to wash the car & we oso got ready all the ang baos to give out the next day. So tiring as we sleep at 2am.

Day 1: Woke up very early as we need to prepare ourselves as well as Zenden. We had to shower him, dressed him up & prepare his bag. Lots of things to b done. Last yr, we could juz prepare ourselves & go but things r now diff when u have a baby. We went to my 姑姑's hse early in the morning. 2nd destination was my grandmother's hse. All my relatives were gathered there. Noon was at darling's grandmother's place. All his relatives were there too. Nite was buffet at my 二舅母's hse. Day 2: Went visiting to 4 hses. My 大姨, 二姨，大舅 & cousin's hse. Managed to play blackjack wif my cousins but only for a while coz of Zenden. We were free without a baby last yr so it was juz madness gambling throughout the CNY. Could still remember the winning of $97 from my dearie cousin Carol. Guessed she oso could remember till now hehe...Zenden's outfit for day 2. We were oso dressed in green like him. Darling wore a green polo tee & I wore a green dress. The green family! Darling joked tat we looked like Malays during their Hari Raya Puasa haha...
Day 3: Went visiting at 2 hses. My 舅舅 & 三姨's place. My 三姨 will always cook a nice dinner for us every yr. Love her giant prawns hehe...Zenden's outfit for day 3.
Day 4: Went to my 小姨's hse. She cooked a nice lunch! Nite was at my mother-in-law's place. Zenden went there to 拜年.
