[[Mother's Day Celebration part 1]]

Yesterday was Mother's Day! =D

Mother's Day this yr is very special to me coz itz the 1st time I enter into motherhood & take on the role of a mummy.

After going through hrs of labour pain + delivery without epidural or other forms of pain reliever, I finally could understand the pain my mum had to endure b4 giving birth to me. No wonder pple said mothers r the greatest on earth & Mother's Day is always being more celebrated than Father's Day.

There's this saying "A mother is born when a baby is born". One's motherly instinct will juz kick in when she holds her baby in her arms. A mummy will naturally learn how to take care of her newborn even if itz her 1st time. Guess itz the love & bond a mummy has for her baby tat performs the wonder!

Well... I m really glad tat I m now a mummy to an adorable baby. Darling & I shall do our very best to nurture him into a child wif good moral values.

I could still remember asking darling even b4 marriage tat in future if we have a baby, will he wan a boy or a gal? He told me he has no preference. But I tink he will delighted if he has a boy coz he will then b able to play his fav soccer wif him when he grows up. I told darling tat I will wish to have a gal coz I feel gals r more well-behaved. However after giving birth to Zenden, having a boy or gal no longer makes a difference coz he is after all my flesh & blood, darling & my labour of love. =)

Haha... end of my motherly speech.

Wkend was basically busy wif celebrating Mother's Day. Had previously treated my mum to a lunch buffet at Sakura so itz celebration wif my mother-in-law on Sat. 7 of us went to Loy Kee at Woodlands for dinner - My mother-in-law, darling's sis, her bf, darling's bro, darling, me & baby Zenden!

Happy family!

Ordered quite a lot of food. Rice wif steamboat, roast & white chicken, char siew & roast meat, green veg, fried dumplings & fried omelette. After main course, we still had rojak & ice cream float!

Baby Zenden wif his daddy. Like father like son! They were both dressed up similarly in black polo tee for the nite.

After dinner, we went back to my mother-in-law's place.

My mother-in-law took out a mini wooden piano which used to b darling's childhood toy. It looked really cute! Tink this toy cannot b found anywhere now, it has became a so-called antique. Shall pass it to baby Zenden after cleaning. Once he can sit upright by himself without support, he is able to have endless fun wif the piano.

Future pianist Zenden Soh! Haha...

Mother's Day gifts for my mother-in-law & my mum. Bottom left hand corner: A cake towel & a coin purse for my mother-in-law. Bottom right hand corner: A cake towel & a personalised trolley key chain for my mum.

Hehe... I oso got a Mother's Day gift. A trolley key chain wif the wordings "Born To Shop". Haha... how true! Darling gave it to me on behalf of baby Zenden. I m waiting for the day to hear Zenden telling me "Mummy, Happy Mother's Day!", tat will b the best gift ever!

Oh ya... 4got to mention tat darling brought a huge plastic bag of sweets home last Thur. Itz really HUGE . I got a shock when I c the number of sweets inside, scary lol... Darling's colleague Ryan gave it to him after winning them frm the arcade, a so-called sweets jackpot. Heard frm darling Ryan won many plastic bags of sweets worth a few hundreds. Wow!

Yesterday afternoon was Mother's Day celebration for my grandmother at Grassroots Club. Had course lunch at a restaurant there. Took many pics as well. I have yet to arrange & edit them. After I m done wif them, I shall post them up here.
